Sub Characters
In Halo 3 the Master Cheif is faced with many enemies and friendlies. Besides the Covenant forces he fights beside some brave UNSC Marines and Flood Combat Forms.
Humans
UNSC Marines
The backbone of the UNSC, the Marines have faced many enemies, but to them the Covenant tops it off.
Covenant
Grunts
The basic soldier in the Covenant Force, they are methane reliable species who actual stand to fight as long as they are led by a Brute. Otherwise they flee and cower.
Jackals
Species that puts up more of a fight they either carry a plasma pistol and energy shield, a carbine, or beam rifle
Drones
Insect type species, they have become new to the Covenant forces and usually come in swarms.
Hunters
The strongest of the Covenant Forces, they seem to only come in pairs, and are made up on thousands of tiny organisms put together.
Brutes
Brute Chieftain
They are the new leaders of the Covenant squads since the Elites left the Covenant. They have three ranks: Minors who are the basic fighters in Brute packs. Captains command squads of grunts and jackals, sometimes Brute packs. Chieftains lead Brute packs and large groups of Covenant.
Covenant Separatists
Elites
Once proud to be one of the Covenant species they left after being denied the right to guard the prophets, and were lied to by the prophets of the Great Journey as it planned to annilate all species in the galaxy.
Flood
Infection Spore
Infecting Form of the Flood they attach themselves to their enemies and take them over, becoming combat forms.
Carrier Form
Flood form that carries the small infection spores, they drop to the ground and explode releasing dozens of them.
Marine Combat Form
One of the combat forms they were taken over UNSC Marines becoming incapable of thinking and fighting for itself.
Elite Combat Form
Combat form that took over the elites, they were forms seen earlier and were one of the easiest to kill next to the Marine Combat forms.
Brute Combat Form
First seen when the Flood controlled Covenant ship crashed near the ruins of New Mombasa, they were huge and a little harder to kill than earlier forms.
Stalker Form
The first stage of the Flood transformation, they are the fastest and can crawl over all surfaces.
Ranged Form
The second stage of the Flood transformation after the Stalker form, they hand off of wall and ceilings launching green spikes at enemies, causing difficult kills.
Tank Form
One of the last stages of the Flood transformation after the Ranged Forms, they are the hardest to take down, but are the slowest.
